My Life: A Journey With My God
This is a collection of inspirational messages, songs and reflections that helped me as I struggle everyday to be what God wants me to be. I may fall a lot of time, but I want this site to remind myself of how vast God's love is.

Reflections On The Cross: A Lenten Recollection
The first part of Fr. Cecil's talk was about The Season of Lent. And these are the points that struck me most:
1. The significance of the number 40, as this is used a lot of time in the Bible, which generally means preparation.
2. The importance of the Blessing of Fire and Baptismal Water on Easter Vigil. Here I learned that the main use of the Holy Water is for baptism. During baptismal rites we use the Holy water because we believe that the baby/person being baptized will resurrect someday. By baptism we believe in this: Kinsa kadtong mabunyagan nianig tubiga makaambit sa pagkabanhaw ni Kristo. (Whoever will be baptized with this water, shall partake in the resurrection of Christ.)
3. The importance and difference of Fasting and Abstinence and why it is every baptized Catholic's obligation to observe it regardless of whether they received a mark on their forehead during Ash Wednesday or not.
The second part of the talk was about Reflections on the Cross.
1. The 7 Capital Sins and why gaba(divine retribution/karma) is not from God but from us and our actions/sins.
2. Our crosses and what we are doing with it.
3. The importance of Confession.
"There are people who are afraid to go to confession, forgetting that they will not encounter a severe judge there, but the immensely merciful Father" - Pope Francis
"when we go to confession, we feel a bit ashamed. That happens to all of us, but we must remember that this shame is a grace that prepares us for the embrace of the Father, who always forgives and always forgives everything." - Pope Francis

God Whispers 2016.02.23
"Today I will lay upon your heart a person who needs your prayers.
Be sensitive.
So many people need your prayers. Make it a daily habit to pray for others."
